Duties
- Provide students with technical instruction in a safe and clean learning environment.
- Utilize teaching strategies and instructional materials for various learning styles.
- Evaluate student mastery of skills in:
- Ability to read and correctly interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Use of precision instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other equipment to measure various components within a circuit.
- Verifying quality of finished product.
- Conduct assessments as required per the curriculum.
- May require administrative duties such as maintaining records, taking attendance, tracking evaluations, ordering supplies, equipment and inventory control, and other related duties.
- Maintain clean, secure, orderly, and safe classrooms, laboratories, equipment, and materials.
- Participate in professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Five (5) or more years of industry experience in the field of instruction of which three (3) or more years are in the aerospace/aviation industry.
- Associate degree in electrical/electronics, aerospace/aviation, or related field from a regionally accredited college/university (preferred).
- Ten (10) plus years documented industry experience in: aerospace, aviation, manufacturing specializing in electrical/electronics (preferred).
- Two (2) or more years teaching Basic Electricity/Electronics courses and/or technical material at a post-secondary institution (preferred).
- Certec/SpaceTec certification – Basic Electrical and Advanced Electrical certifications (preferred).
Pay
Salary Grade: AH
Salary is based on the Board-approved salary schedule for the current fiscal year.
