Part-Time Faculty- Clinical Medical Assisting

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Prepare materials needed for instruction, labs, and supplies;
• Provide basic lab maintenance and track inventory of equipment and tools utilized;
• Relate instruction and material to course objectives;
• Discuss and demonstrate workplace safety, personal/patient safety and infection control;
• Communicate effectively and efficiently with students, other faculty and staff;
• Submit grades, attendance, reports and records in a timely manner;
• Prepare students to sit for the national certification clinical medical assistant credential through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).

Required Qualifications

• Must have active certification CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), or RMA;
• Have at least 5 years experience practicing as a clinical medical assistant;
• Have at least 1 year of teacher/trainer experience;
• Previous teaching experience preferred.
