Responsibilities

• Maintain a high standard of overall look and feel of the store, including cleanliness and recovery standards.
• Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers in finding products.
• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures.
• Dust and damp‑mop floors according to approved procedures.
• Move equipment and products for proper cleaning and return items to correct placement.
• Clean assigned areas using designated materials and equipment.
• Mix water and detergents to prepare cleaning solutions as specified.
• Deep‑clean key areas such as bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways, and other high‑traffic zones to maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Keep cleaning equipment neat and orderly; notify supervisor of supply needs.
• Identify areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to address them.
• Complete all tasks assigned by the supervisor.
• Perform duties in compliance with all federal, state, and county regulations.
• Maintain positive, respectful interactions with team members and customers, even in difficult situations.
• Project a positive image and serve as a role model for other team members.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience and handle cash according to standards.
• Engage customers about the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Assist with omni‑channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup In‑Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
• Support shrink‑prevention and safety programs.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and company policies to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.
• Must be at least sixteen (16) years of age.
• Must satisfy all applicable federal, state, and local legal requirements.

Preferred Skills and Abilities

• Retail and/or cleaning experience.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Ability to remain standing for long periods.
• Ability to move throughout the store, including regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
• Capability to lift heavy boxes and access high shelves using a ladder or similar equipment.
• Public retail store setting; public areas are climate‑controlled, some stock rooms may not be.
• Occasional outdoor work (e.g., retrieving shopping carts, unloading trucks).
• Exposure to a frame shop containing glass cutters and heat presses.
• Work hours may include nights, weekends, and early mornings.
• Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals.

Pay

Base pay range: $17.00 – $19.70 per hour. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation in accordance with state and local laws.

Schedule

Work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings. Additional duties may require outdoor work for cart retrieval or truck unloading.
