Responsibilities
- Tailor lessons to individual student needs and learning styles
- Guide students towards mastery through a gradual release approach
- Focus on building confidence and academic success
- Eliminate the need for lesson planning, parent conferences, or grading
- Enjoy professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in your subject area (English, Social Studies, History, Government, Economics—anything that fuels your passion!)
- Patience and empathy to support diverse learners
- A genuine passion to teach and inspire the next generation
- Proficiency in using G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS)
- The ability to provide fingerprints (required in Arizona and Washington) and pass a federal background check
Bonus Qualifications
- Orton Gillingham training
- A teaching certification (nice to have, but not required)
- An advanced degree in a specific subject area of expertise
- Previous one-to-one teaching experience
