Part-Time, EMT

What You Get To Do

• Provide emergency medical care to employees and park guests, teaching safety and prevention.
• Provide care for workers compensation cases as needed.
• Assess injuries or illnesses, administer appropriate treatment and complete paperwork for employees and guests.
• Perform daily checks on safety and rescue equipment.
• Report safety hazards in the park to necessary personnel.
• Participate in department training and drills.
• Respond to medical emergencies throughout the park.
• Enthusiastically represent the company by displaying a positive attitude, high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.

What It Takes To Succeed

• At least 18 years of age.
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A current American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR health care provider card (HCP).
• Relevant local/state EMT or Paramedic Certification.
• Six months of related experience providing BLS patient care including volunteer work.
• Able to respond to patient needs and make sound decisions.
• Able to represent the company and communicate to representatives.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to calculate figures and amounts such as medical doses and shots, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Frequent lifting and moving of up to 25 pounds and occasional lifting/moving of more than 100 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Able to work on weekends, evenings, overnight shifts and holidays.
• Able to positively interact with park guests and co-workers of all ages, different ethnic/cultural backgrounds and/or languages and individuals with special needs.
