Part-Time Emergency Department Patient Access Representative

About the Role

Full-time Mobile Patient Access Representative supporting patient registration in multiple Emergency Departments across various locations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an initial point of contact for patients and families, providing front-desk and bedside registration support.
• Gather and update demographic and insurance details.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect patient payments.
• Secure necessary signatures for consent and financial responsibility.
• Ensure patients receive timely, accurate, and compassionate assistance during stressful moments.
• Travel between various Emergency Departments to support registration processes and assist with insurance and payment documentation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must obtain clearances/licenses post-offer acceptance, such as child abuse reporting, FBI clearance, and other state-specific requirements.
• Flexibility for shifts including day, evening, overnight, weekends, and holidays is necessary.

Qualifications & Skills

• Training provided, including structured onboarding and shadowing.
• Opportunities may exist to transition into a permanent role after floating to multiple locations.
