Part-Time Emergency Department Nurse Assistant

About the role

The role involves coordinating patient care, personnel management, equipment maintenance, and statistical tracking in a healthcare setting. The candidate will manage staff hiring, training, performance evaluation, and professional development, ensuring departmental productivity aligns with operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage staff, including recruitment, training, assigning work, evaluating performance, and conducting professional development.
• Participate in developing departmental staffing, revenue, and expense budgets, ensuring adherence and adjusting to business changes.
• Oversee patient care, ensuring interventions meet patients' age and developmental needs, and document according to policy.
• Create and implement collaborative care plans based on assessments, diagnoses, and treatments.
• Review staff hours, manage payroll updates, and handle staff communications, scheduling, and overtime assignments.
• Conduct performance evaluations, recommend improvements, and address disciplinary actions to ensure staff compliance.
• Support staff productivity and departmental operational goals.

Qualifications

• Required: Nursing Diploma or Associate's degree, RN license, 2–5 years of experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, 5–10 years of experience, less than 2 years of supervisor experience.
