About the role

Right At School provides before and after school extended day programs for the Western Springs School District. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.

Responsibilities

  • Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
  • Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
  • Lead by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children enjoy themselves while meeting program goals.
  • Monitor Environment: Address potential hazards, follow safety protocols, document attendance, incidents, and observations.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

  • Available to work all five days for one or both shifts.
  • Works well in a team environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
  • Able to lift 25 lbs.
  • Flexible to support additional local programs as needed.

Qualifications

  • Illinois Requirements: Meet state-specific requirements, complete First Aid and CPR training, and pass a tuberculosis test.
  • Age Requirement: Must be 18 years of age.
  • Education: Proof of High School diploma or GED.

Mon-Fri: 11:15am-12:45pm

Pay

$15-$18/hour (based on education and experience)
