About the role

Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focusing on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
• Lead by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children enjoy themselves while meeting program goals.
• Monitor Environment: Address potential hazards, follow safety protocols, document attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Effective Communication: Communicate with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Ability to meet state-specific requirements.
• First Aid and CPR certification.
• Cleared tuberculosis test.
• 18+ years of age.
• Preferred: CDA, HS Diploma/GED with 30 college credits in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field.
• Alternatively: HS Diploma/GED with 600 or more hours of secondary training, 15 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field plus 1 year of experience, or HS Diploma/GED with 2 years of experience plus 15 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field.

Pay

$15.00-$18.00 per hour (based on education and experience)

Schedule

Monday through Friday 7:30AM-9:30AM and 3:40PM-6:00PM
