About the role

Right At School provides before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
• Lead by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children enjoy themselves while meeting program goals.
• Monitor Environment: Address potential hazards, follow safety protocols, document attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Effective Communication: Communicate with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• Prioritize Safety and Joy: Ensure a safe and engaging environment for children.
• Communicate Effectively: Work with a varied audience including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
• Teamwork: Work well in a team environment.
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Lifting Capacity: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma/GED plus 30 college credits in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field OR High School Diploma/GED with 600 or more hours of secondary training OR High School Diploma/GED with 15 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field plus 1 year of experience OR High School Diploma/GED plus 2 years of experience.
• Certification: Child Development Associate (CDA) preferred.
• State Requirements: Ability to meet state-specific requirements.
• Training: First Aid and CPR in-person.
• Health Screening: Clear tuberculosis test.
• Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old.

Pay

$15.00-$18.00 per hour (based on education and experience)

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7:30AM-9:30AM and 3:40PM-6:00PM
