About the role

Educator Right At School provides before and after school extended day programs focusing on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. The mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
  • Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives. Lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
  • Maintain a Safe and Nurturing Environment: Ensure children are enjoying themselves while meeting program goals through positive guidance and effective classroom management.
  • Monitor the Environment: Address potential hazards, follow safety protocols, document attendance, incidents, and observations.
  • Effective Communication: Communicate with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

  • Customer Service and Relationship-Building Skills: Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Teamwork: Works well in a team environment.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
  • Lifting Capacity: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications

  • Flexibility: Ability to support additional local programs as needed.
  • Michigan State Requirements: Meet state-specific requirements, complete First Aid and CPR training, and provide a tuberculosis test and proof of MMR.
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 19 years old.
  • Education: Proof of High School diploma or GED.

Pay

$15.00-$18.00 per hour, based on education and experience.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 2:22pm to 6:00pm.
