Right At School – a place to be a kid! Educator at Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.

About the role

We aim to bring exceptional, affordable programs to as many students, families, and schools as possible while providing a safe environment for children to explore and grow. Our ideal candidates will have outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills, works well in a team environment, have at least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age, and be able to lift 25 lbs. They should also have a drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living, and be flexible to support additional local programs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Drive the mission by leading daily program meetings
• Organize and facilitate daily activities aligned with program objectives
• Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children enjoy themselves while meeting program goals
• Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols
• Prioritize safety and joy by documenting attendance, incidents, and other observations
• Communicate effectively with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel

Requirements

• Ohio State Requirements: Meet state-specific requirements, complete First Aid and CPR training, and pass a tuberculosis test
• High School diploma/GED required

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age
• Ability to lift 25 lbs
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed

Pay

$15.00-$18.00 per hour (based on education and experience)

Schedule

Monday-Friday 6:30am to 8:25 AND 3:10pm to 6:30pm
