Part Time Educator (Metamora)

About the role

Educator Right At School provides before and after school extended day programs with a focus on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind by building a team of mission-driven individuals passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children.

Responsibilities

• Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
• Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring they align with the program’s objectives. Lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
• Maintain a Safe and Nurturing Environment: Ensure children are enjoying themselves while meeting program goals by modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Monitor the Environment: Address potential hazards, follow all safety protocols, document attendance, incidents, and other observations.
• Effective Communication: Communicate with a varied audience including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• Ability to meet state-specific requirements.
• At least 1 year of verifiable experience working with children under 13 years of age in a childcare/school setting.
• First Aid and CPR-in-person (ability to obtain within 30 days of employment).
• Cleared tuberculosis test (ability to obtain within 30 days of employment).
• Proof of MMR (documentation can be provided).
• 18+ years of age.
• Proof of High School diploma/GED required.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 8:00 am and 3:00 pm - 5:30 pm*

*Hours may vary per individual school.

Pay

Up to $18.00 per hour (based on education & experience)
