Part Time Educator - Haverford

About the role

Educator Right At School provides before and after school extended day programs focusing on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. The role involves driving the mission through daily program meetings, organizing and facilitating activities, leading by example, prioritizing safety and joy, and effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Review and update daily goals, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and ensure team accountability.
• Prepare and lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum aligned with program objectives.
• Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children enjoy themselves while meeting program goals.
• Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols, including documentation.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• Passing first aid and CPR certification in person.
• Cleared tuberculosis test.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Preferred but not required: CDA certification.
• High School Diploma/GED plus 30 college credits in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field.
• High School Diploma/GED with at least 600 hours of secondary training.
• High School Diploma/GED with 15 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field plus one year of experience.
• High School Diploma/GED with two years of experience.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Works well in a team environment.
• At least one year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.

Pay

$15.00-$18.00 per hour (based on education and experience).

Schedule

Monday-Friday 7:00am to 8:45am AND 3:30pm to 6:00pm.
