Right At School provides local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students. About the role

As an Educator, you will drive our mission by organizing and facilitating daily activities, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment, and communicating effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Responsibilities

• Participate in daily program meetings to review goals, share ideas, and encourage team collaboration and accountability.
• Organize and facilitate structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
• Lead by example, modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management to maintain a safe and nurturing environment.
• Prioritize safety and joy by monitoring the environment, addressing potential hazards, and following all safety protocols, including documenting attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• Outstanding customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.

Qualifications

Pennsylvania State Requirements:

• Ability to meet state-specific requirements.
• First Aid and CPR certification (in-person).
• Cleared tuberculosis test.
• 18+ years of age.
• One of the following:
  • HS Diploma / GED + 30 college credits in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field,
  • HS Diploma / GED with 600 or more hours of secondary training,
  • HS Diploma / GED, 15 credit hours in early childhood education, child development, special education, elementary education, or the human services field + 1 year of experience,
  • HS Diploma / GED + 2 years of experience.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred.

Pay

Educator pay rate: $15.00–$18.00 per hour (based on education and experience).

Schedule

Program hours: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–8:40 AM and 3:10 PM–6:00 PM.
