Part Time Educator - Chicago Public Schools

About the role

Educator Right At School provides before and after school extended day programs with a focus on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment. The position will begin in August at South Loop Middle School.

Responsibilities

• Drive the mission by reviewing goals and updates, sharing ideas, discussing professional progress, encouraging collaboration, and promoting team accountability.
• Organize and facilitate daily activities aligned with the program’s objectives, ensuring they are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
• Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children are engaged while meeting program goals through positive guidance and effective classroom management.
• Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols, including documenting attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Communicate effectively with a diverse audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Requirements

• Ability to meet state-specific requirements.
• At least 1 year of verifiable experience working with children under 13 years of age in a childcare/school setting.
• First Aid and CPR certification (ability to obtain within 30 days of employment).
• Cleared tuberculosis test (ability to obtain within 30 days of employment).
• Proof of MMR (documentation can be provided).
• 18+ years of age.
• Proof of High School diploma/GED.

Pay

Starting at $17/hr.

Schedule

We are currently hiring for Before School, Recess, and After School hours. Exact hours are determined by the needs of the school.
