About the role
As an Educator at Right At School, you will drive the mission by leading daily program meetings, organizing and facilitating daily activities, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment. You will also communicate effectively with a varied audience, including children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
Responsibilities
- Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and team accountability.
- Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with program objectives; lead structured daily fitness, activities, and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
- Maintain a Safe and Nurturing Environment: Ensure children are enjoying themselves while meeting program goals by modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management; monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols.
- Prioritize Safety and Joy: Document attendance, incidents, and other observations; communicate effectively with a varied audience.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.
Qualifications
- New York State Requirements: Meet state-specific requirements; complete First Aid and CPR training; pass a tuberculosis test; provide proof of MMR vaccination; be 18 years of age; hold a high school diploma or GED.
- Substantial Experience: At least 3-5 years of substantial experience working with children under 13 years of age.

Pay
$17.00-$20.00 per hour (based on education and experience)
