Part-Time Echocardiographer

About the role

We are hiring a skilled Echocardiographer to join the Heart and Vascular Institute, focusing on obtaining high-quality images and delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiographic procedures with accuracy and efficiency.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient assessment.
• Interpret imaging results and communicate findings effectively to physicians and staff.
• Complete department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
• Modify care approaches based on patients' age-specific needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree or certification program preferred.
• Graduate from an accredited Cardiovascular Program is preferred.
• Minimum of two years' echocardiography experience is preferred.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer with credentials RDCS or RCS required; new graduates have six months to pass the registry.

Skills

• Strong verbal communication skills to effectively relay observations and collaborate with healthcare staff.
