About the role
The role involves performing echocardiography studies and stress ECHOs, as well as recognizing, calculating, interpreting, and analyzing hemodynamic data obtained from these studies.
Responsibilities
- Successfully complete department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
- Adapt care based on patient age and interpret information to meet individual patient needs.
- Effectively communicate observations and input to nursing staff, physicians, and other team members.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate Degree or completion of a certified Cardiovascular Program preferred.
- Two years of echocardiography experience is preferred.
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer credentials (RDCS or RCS) required; new graduates have six months to obtain certification.
