Part-Time Early Childhood Substitute Teacher

About the role

The Part-Time Early Childhood Substitute Teacher works collaboratively with the preschool team to ensure a high-quality program that aligns with YMCA values and early childhood best practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teachers and Teachers in their classrooms
• Assist with cooking, prepping and serving meals
• Give Lead Teachers and Teachers breaks and lunch breaks
• Care for children ranging in ages from birth to 5 years
• Bend and lift up to 50 pounds
• Fill in for Lead Teachers and Teachers in their absence
• Create a safe, inclusive environment by following all YMCA policies and procedures related to abuse prevention, reporting concerns or incidents immediately, and maintaining appropriate boundaries with youth and members

Requirements

• Be 18 years old
• Have a high school diploma or GED
• Have reliable transportation
• Be a positive and proactive person
• Have great communication skills
• Must be able to pass a background check

Retirement Contribution USD $11.00 - USD $13.00 /Hr.
