About the role

Warehouse/Driver associates at Famous Supply are responsible for both warehouse and driving duties. The schedule is roughly Monday through Wednesday, 7am–3:30pm.

Warehouse tasks include unloading trucks, receiving material, put-away of material, picking customer orders, staging customer orders for delivery, and loading customer delivery trucks.

Non-CDL Drivers deliver to customer shops and job sites using a 26-foot box truck with a lift gate. Each morning, the day’s route is uploaded onto a company-provided smartphone that navigates the driver to each stop. Drivers assist with loading their truck, review orders for accuracy, and help in the warehouse when needed. Drivers handle large products such as water heaters, furnaces, and showers.

Responsibilities

• Warehouse:
  • Ensure product is handled with care to prevent damage
  • Attention to detail to complete tasks accurately
  • Keep warehouse clean, neat, and organized
• Driver:
  • Help load truck
  • Use smartphone to navigate to stops on-time
  • Unload materials for customer
  • Verify delivery for accuracy
  • Provide friendly and helpful customer service
  • Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections

Requirements

• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
• Ability to stand on feet for the majority of an 8-hour day
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Acceptable driving record
• Ability to drive a 26-foot box truck safely and effectively
• Valid driver’s license (CDL not required)
• Ability to use a smartphone

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift experience
• Customer service experience
• Building industry experience and requisite product knowledge
• Experience working in a warehouse
• Experience using RF scanners
