Part-Time Downtown Ranger

Part-time position performing labor-intensive tasks related to routine maintenance of equipment, facilities, and grounds at various locations.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of equipment for indoor and outdoor projects
• Paint interior and exterior surfaces
• Follow City of Conroe policies and procedures
• Understand and follow written and oral instructions
• Safely operate a motor vehicle
• Adapt to new technology, methods, or changing conditions

Requirements

• Possession of a valid class "C" Texas driver's license or higher
• Capable of reading, writing, and communicating in English
• Must pass background check and pre-employment substance abuse screening
• May require a motor vehicle record check and job-related doctor's physical exam

Physical Demands

• Heavy work requiring the ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
• Work may be performed outdoors in various weather conditions
• Substantial amount of walking during the day
• Physical abilities required: balancing, climbing, crawling, crouching, feeling, fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motions, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, and visual acuity
