Responsibilities

• Prepare, clean, and organize dish storage and washing areas.
• Clean and sanitize dishes, silverware, glassware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils.
• Complete general cleanup and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas.
• Maintain the dish machine and sinks, ensuring proper cleaning and sanitization.
• Transport meals to the Connections for Living (CFL) neighborhood and return the cart to the kitchen.
• Assist with basic food preparation and other kitchen duties as assigned.
• Maintain an adequate inventory of cleaning supplies and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff, residents, and guests.
• Comply with federal, state, and local regulations and company policies.
• Participate in a coaching and recognition program aligned with MBK principles and core values.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• ServSafe certificate preferred.
• Food Handler’s Permit, as required by the state.
• Prior work experience in restaurant or food services kitchen or dish room operations preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and push up to 250 pounds.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to speak, write, and read English.

Qualifications

• Age 18 or older or proper work permit and authorization documentation.
• Completed required background clearances and health screenings.
• Negative TB test results within 7 days of employment (within the last 6 months).

Skills

Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation is preferred.

Pay

The pay rate is $20 - $22 per hour (DOE).
