About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Dietitian to assess patients' nutritional needs, develop and implement personalized dietary plans, provide education on healthy eating habits, and monitor nutritional status. The role involves instructing patients on post-discharge diets, collaborating with physicians and care teams, evaluating referral orders, and documenting relevant information in medical records. The dietitian will review and revise menus for nutritional adequacy and conduct calorie counts to make appropriate recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients' nutritional needs and develop personalized dietary plans
- Provide education on healthy eating habits and monitor nutritional status
- Instruct patients on post-discharge diets
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams
- Evaluate referral orders and document relevant information in medical records
- Review and revise menus for nutritional adequacy
- Conduct calorie counts and make appropriate recommendations
Requirements
- Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association
- State licensure required
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Food & Nutrition from an accredited institution
- One year of clinical dietetics experience preferred
- Membership in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics is a plus
