Part Time Deli

Cub Mankato West is looking for a dedicated individual to join the team as a part-time deli team member. This role focuses on preparing and finishing products such as meats, salads, and prepared foods to department standards while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation
• Provide customers with accurate, prompt, and courteous service
• Set, fill, and rotate deli cases and displays
• Assist in receiving product
• Break down department and perform cleaning duties
• Follow all store and department policies and procedures

Requirements

• Operate equipment including compactor, coffee pot, pallet jack, highboy cart, box cutter, tongs, scales, Cry-O-Vac machine, steamer, slicer, wrapper, knives, chicken fryer, chicken hot case, food processor, and pizza oven
• Able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time
• Strong memorization, reading, writing, and math skills
• Ongoing customer interaction with prompt, courteous, and accurate service
• Good judgment, especially when direct supervision may not be immediately available
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, and request supplies verbally or in writing
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Lifting/carrying up to 60 lbs
• Pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs
• Walking on uneven ground
• Reaching, bending, and repetitive motions
• Exposure to hot equipment and cooking oil

Pay

UNFI anticipates paying a competitive rate for this position, with actual pay depending on factors such as education, experience, training, and applicable collective bargaining agreements.
