Part Time Daycare Worker

About the role

We are seeking ministry‑minded individuals to join our After School team as a Part Time Daycare Worker. The primary role is fostering youth development in an after‑school setting by leading elementary students in enrichment activities. You will be devoted to excellence and wholeheartedness, helping kids reach their full potential while having an eternal impact and serving as a role model in your community. This is a non‑exempt, part‑time position averaging 17‑20 hours per week. At Mentoring Alliance After School we hire teachers, youth workers, teen workers, college students, mentors and more to serve and develop kids in our programs. As a Christian ministry we are geared toward serving kids and students by offering awesome after‑school care and activities. Mentoring Alliance exists to mobilize godly people into the lives of kids and families, to provide tangible help and eternal hope. Our team members must have the desire to influence, impact and serve the kids and families in our community, recognizing that each staff position is integral to our mission and vision. We consider a Part Time Daycare Worker to be first and foremost a Minister of the Gospel.

Responsibilities

• Lead elementary students in enrichment activities
• Foster youth development in an after‑school setting
• Serve as a positive role model for kids in the community

Requirements

• Agree with and exhibit behaviors in accordance with the Mentoring Alliance Statement of Faith
• Must be at least 17 years of age
• High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred; some post‑secondary training highly preferred
• Have a passion and love for working with elementary school‑aged children
• Experience working with elementary school‑aged children is preferred
• Able to work Monday‑Friday 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year
• Ability to earn CPR/First Aid certification (mandatory)
• Pass Mandatory Background/Sex offender check
• Valid driver’s license or Valid ID
• Legally allowed to work in the United States
• Have dependable transportation

Skills

• Spanish‑speaking ability greatly valued

Schedule

Part‑time position averaging 17‑20 hours per week, Monday‑Friday 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. during the school calendar year.
