DivaDance is a popular brand offering pop music-inspired dance classes, live performances, video shoots, workshops, and parties across the US and Mexico. Joining our team means empowering others, inspiring confidence, and building community in inclusive, all-levels classes.
THE GIG
You'll be the lead instructor for DivaDance classes, teaching original choreography to songs like Beyoncé and Justin Bieber. The ideal candidate has a charismatic personality, experience creating adult choreography, and is responsive via phone/text. This is a great opportunity for extra income while doing what you love.
Complete the online Instructor Development Program before teaching your first class. The program includes online training, warmup and cooldown sessions, and choreography video submissions. Support is provided by the DivaDance Charlotte owner’s team.
Take 3 DivaDance classes prior to starting the Instructor Training Program. Email the classes you're interested in trying to reserve your spots for free.
To ensure the DivaDance class format aligns with your preferences, applicants must try 3 classes before beginning the Instructor Training Program. Classes are held at the ONE Dance Initiative studio in Fort Mill, SC at 7:00 PM on Tuesdays and every other Friday at 8:00 PM. Additional locations may be available upon request.
HOURS, COMPENSATION, LOCATION
Teach at least 1 (up to 2) classes per week during lunch hour, evenings, or weekends. No physical location is provided; classes are brought into existing facilities.
Compensation is tiered based on experience, starting at $30 per class. Performers may request your choreography for their routines, requiring 5-7 rehearsals before performances.
Staff members receive discounts and free classes for participating in performance programs, video shoots, and workshops.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Experience teaching and choreographing for adults. Bonus points for previous dance team, drill team, or cheerleading experience.
