Part Time Customer Service Representative - Paws Pet Resort

About the role

Responsibilities

• Welcome both human and pet guests
• Correctly identify animal body language/behavior
• Follow safe handling procedures
• Check in and out of pet guests while providing excellent customer service
• Escort pets to and from their rooms
• Take reservations over the phone
• Work both individually and as a team player while performing duties
• Contribute to maintaining the cleanliness of the facility
• Communicate with management and other team members

Requirements

• Possess a love of animals
• Must be reliable, as we have dogs that depend on us to show up every day
• Display a professional manner at all times
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Able to lift/carry 40 pounds or more
• Able to stand/walk for eight hours a day
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work on a computer system
• Able to handle dogs on leashes and work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation chemicals, animal dander, and excretions

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or Equivalent
• At least 1 year of professional animal experience preferred

Pay

The compensation range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00 per hour. Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, qualifications, location, and business needs. Where applicable, compensation will comply with federal, state, and local minimum wage requirements.

Schedule

Hours are a combination of our lobby hours, including rotating weekends and holidays. Monday through Friday, a mix of 6:40am-3pm and 11am to 7:30pm shifts. Saturdays, 8:45am-5:15pm. Sundays, 10:45am-4:15pm.
