Part-Time Customer Service Agents

This position requires availability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. Hours vary based on flight schedules and may increase or decrease due to seasonal changes.

About the Role

This position is responsible for providing total customer service to all passengers using customer or charter service by attentively addressing their needs, handling inquiries politely and promptly, and completing required transactions. Additional responsibilities include ramp duties, aircraft cleaning, operations, wheelchair assistance, and commissary tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Process customers' tickets, check baggage, monitor carry-on baggage for size and quantity, and assign seats
• Provide information on arrival and departure times, boarding procedures, carry-on regulations, and seating arrangements
• Handle denied boarding situations, solicit volunteers, accommodate passengers, and provide hotel, meal, and taxi vouchers when appropriate
• Ensure compliance with FAA, airline, and airport regulations
• Enforce safety and security measures and protect sensitive zones
• Assist passengers with special needs, including those requiring wheelchair assistance
• Transport wheelchair passengers from the ticket counter to gates and from gates to baggage service
• Perform thorough cleaning and searches of aircraft
• Complete other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to read and write English; bilingual skills are a plus
• Ability to work efficiently under time constraints
• Must be well-groomed and physically fit
• Must pass a ten-year background check and pre-employment drug test
• Must have authorization to work in the U.S. as defined in the Immigration Act of 1986
• Able to attend and complete all required training
• Only perform tasks for which you are fully trained
• Report any safety hazard or incident immediately

Physical Demands

• Must be able to carry a 70-pound suitcase from the floor to 18 inches and carry a 70-pound suitcase in front of you with both hands for up to 25 feet
• Must have physical dexterity to perform repetitive tasks and motions, including bending at the waist and knees, squatting, kneeling, crawling, and twisting
• Must sustain physical positions for extended periods
• Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position

Work Environment

Works both indoors and outdoors with exposure to extreme weather conditions, dust, and pollen. Subject to mechanical, electrical, chemical, and toxic waste hazards associated with aircraft, vehicles, equipment, and fuel. Exposure to constant and extreme noise, strong odors, fumes, and poor lighting due to night work. Possible exposure to disease due to aircraft lavatory work.
