Role Overview
Responsible for maintaining county buildings in optimal condition to ensure uninterrupted educational activities. Performs custodial duties including cleaning, minor repairs, and routine maintenance under supervision. Ensures a safe, sanitary, and orderly environment, operating cleaning equipment, groundskeeping tools, and building systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, walls, and furniture
- Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance
- Manage grounds by mowing, trimming, and litter pickup
- Operate heating, cooling, and electrical systems
- Monitor safety hazards
- Assist with furniture setup and transportation of supplies
- Support building safety by inspecting and reporting deficiencies
- Uphold safety standards, develop and maintain a secure environment
- Promote positive relations within the school community
- Adhere to policies and regulations
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or GED
- Pass relevant exams and background checks
- Strong work habits and positive attitude
- Safety awareness
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 75 pounds, operating equipment, and working in varying environments
- Capable of following written and oral instructions
- Maintain confidentiality
