Part-time Custodian

Position Summary
We are seeking a part-time custodian to maintain and protect our facilities. The ideal candidate will have experience in building upkeep, a keen eye for detail, and strong physical endurance.
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture, and dusting surfaces
- Sweep and mop floors and vacuum carpets
- Wash and sanitize toilets, sinks, and showers, and restock disposables (e.g. soap)
- Wipe mirrors and windows and maintain outer premises by cleaning entrances, trash pick-up, etc.
- Report damages to the engineer and assist where needed
- Secure facilities after operating hours by locking doors, closing windows, and setting up the alarm
- Undertake other occasional custodial and janitorial tasks (e.g. shoveling snow from the sidewalk, lifting heavy items, moving chairs, etc.)
Requirements
- Previous custodial/janitorial experience is required
- Knowledge of the use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment and appliances
- Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components
- Attention to detail and conscientiousness
- Very good physical condition and strength
- A high school diploma is preferred but not required
Compensation
Salary for this position is competitive and depends on prior experience. Salary Range: $18 - $20 per hour.
Schedule
Part-time: Monday to Thursday 2 pm-7:30 pm, Friday 1 pm- 5:30 pm
