Part Time Custodian

About the role

The Part Time Custodian under the supervision of the Facility Manager is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the school building and grounds, setting up equipment for special events, and assisting school personnel with work requests.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and maintains the school building and grounds
• Sets up equipment for special events
• Aids school personnel with work requests

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write and perform basic mathematical calculations
• Basic understanding of cleaning and sanitation procedures

Skills

• Physical demands: very heavy work including climbing, crawling, crouching, fingering, grasping, handling, hearing, kneeling, lifting, mental acuity, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, standing, stooping, talking, visual acuity, and walking

Benefits

• Salary Grade 2: $16.41 per hour (2026-2027 Support Salary Table)
• Work schedule: 4.0 hours per day, 237 days per year, from 3:30 PM - 7:30 PM during school year and 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM during summer
• Promotion may result in a 5% minimum increase in salary

Schedule

• 4.0 hours per day
• 237 days per year

General Function

Under the supervision of the Facility Manager, the Part Time Custodian cleans and maintains the school building and grounds, sets up equipment for special events, and assists school personnel with work requests.
