Part-Time CT Technologist (Night)

About the Role

The Cat Scan Technician performs a variety of CT procedures, prioritizing patient care and ensuring high-quality imaging. They assist radiologists, operate and maintain equipment, administer contrast agents, and follow radiation safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Position patients and anatomical parts for scans
• Prepare and verify equipment
• Administer contrast media via venipuncture
• Ensure proper patient preparation
• Maintain sterile techniques
• Troubleshoot equipment and manage supplies
• Ensure smooth workflow and document procedures accurately
• Input studies into computer systems
• Assist in patient scheduling
• Provide patient education and support student technologists
• Participate in shift rotations, trainings, and educational in-services
• Follow department policies and adapt to changing responsibilities
• Maintain ethical standards and contribute positively to team dynamics

Requirements

• At least three years of hospital experience
• Valid New Jersey license
• ARRT certification
• CT certification within 12-24 months
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain within six months
• Technical proficiency and attention to safety
• Ability to collaborate professionally with hospital staff
