Part-Time CT Technologist

About the Role

A Travel CT Tech operates CT scanners to produce diagnostic cross-sectional images, preparing and positioning patients safely, following imaging protocols, and collaborating with radiologists to ensure high-quality results.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment and produce accurate images for diagnosis
• Prepare and explain procedures to patients, ensuring safety and comfort
• Set technical parameters and follow safety standards to minimize radiation exposure
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Work effectively with healthcare professionals to deliver timely diagnostic services
• Adapt to different CT protocols and equipment as required
• Perform additional duties within the scope of practice

Requirements

• At least one year of recent CT technologist experience
• Valid Radiology license and current BLS certification
• Preferred ARRT certification

Skills

• Critical thinking, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to move and position equipment and patients
• Proficiency in reading instructions, PC skills, and visual acuity
• Ability to work under pressure and handle irregular activity
