About the role
CT Technologist responsible for performing CT procedures using advanced scanners, ensuring high-quality imaging for patients of all ages.
Responsibilities
- Operate CT scanners (GE, Siemens, Philips) to produce diagnostic images.
- Position patients accurately, select protocols, and ensure optimal results.
- Check orders, document procedures, and maintain patient identification standards.
- Record technical data and ensure all images are stored correctly in PACS.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and stay updated on radiology advancements.
- Communicate procedures clearly to patients, monitor their condition, and report adverse signs.
- Maintain department organization, supplies, and assist colleagues as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School diploma and completion of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and licensure by the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety.
- Strong communication, patient care, multitasking, and technical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, adapt to new technologies, and collaborate effectively.
