Part-Time CPA

This is a part-time role for licensed CPAs in Texas who reside in Austin, offering 5–15 hours per week. This position is ideal for someone who is retired but seeking part-time work.

Responsibilities

• Obtain an understanding of the work to be performed and its purpose
• Perform substantive and analytical auditing procedures in assigned areas
• Prepare working papers that adequately document tests performed and procedures followed to substantiate conclusions
• Ensure proper and consistent application of accounting principles in audit procedures
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and footnotes
• Identify and document control deficiencies or other matters warranting management’s attention
• Perform agreed-upon procedure engagements on-site in Austin, Texas

Requirements

• Holds an active CPA License in the State of Texas
• Able to pass a thorough background check
• Ability to commit to a varying schedule of 5–15 hours per week
• Ability to perform work on-site at client locations in downtown Austin based on an assigned monthly schedule that includes shifts Monday through Saturday, with varying times between 8 AM and midnight (hourly rates include significant shift premiums for evenings and weekends)
• Highest degree of ethics and integrity; willingness to speak up when issues are noted
• Superior oral and written communication skills
• Well-developed decision-making skills and initiative
• Ability to conduct research and analyze information collected
• Ability to prioritize a heavy workload and remain organized
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future (CRI will not sponsor applicants for any U.S. work visa status for this or future positions)
