Part-time Cook

About the role

To prepare a safe and clean environment in which food is made and distributed, and provide exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food according to nutrition guidelines.
• Clean equipment according to sanitation guidelines.
• Operate a commercial dishwasher and other commercial-grade kitchen equipment, following food sanitation and preparation guidelines.
• Maintain inventory and stock.
• Identify reimbursement student meals.
• Operate the point-of-sale cash register system.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervision.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred, or related experience in the field.
• Previous experience and/or certified training in a school or commercial kitchen preferred, but not required.

• May occasionally deal with distraught or difficult individuals.
