Key Responsibilities

  • Learn and follow Pelican-specific menu items and processes
  • Maintain a valid Food Handlers card
  • Read recipes and operate Kitchen Software Displays
  • Communicate effectively with staff regarding ticket issues, menu changes, or 86’d items
  • Keep workstation safe and clean
  • Perform line procedures, recipes, and operations accurately
  • Assist team members as needed
  • Provide menu and community information to guests
  • Adhere to food safety, OSHA, and Pelican standards

Preferred Skills And Experience

  • Minimum two years of Back of House experience

Physical & Safety Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift at least 50 pounds
  • Capable of bending, kneeling, reaching, and working in a loud environment
  • Understanding of food safety and cleanliness procedures

Understanding

  • Positive attitude and willingness to follow directions
  • Must hold an Oregon Food Handler’s Card
