Part-time Cook

About the role

The Salvation Army Family Haven Shelter in St. Louis, Missouri, is seeking a cook to prepare and serve meals and perform cleanup duties.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food.
• Comply with all safety and health regulations/codes regarding food preparation and service including maintenance of proper sanitation by wearing plastic gloves, hair nets, and aprons.
• Maintain cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas.
• Sanitize all cooking utensils.
• Lift and carry cooking materials and supplies.
• Operate necessary kitchen equipment for food preparation & clean-up.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent and one year cooking experience.
• Valid food handling certificate.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of cooking experience. Combination of education and experience will be considered. Must be medically qualified to work in the food service area.
