Part Time Convenience Store Clerk

About the role

This position involves independently displaying and stocking products, processing financial transactions, and ensuring a positive guest experience while adhering to safety and food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Handle transactions accurately, including cash, credit cards, food stamps, WIC, and coupons.
• Assist with receiving, unloading, and stocking products.
• Operate the cash register, promote store programs, and maintain a clean service area.
• Ensure correct product labeling, signage, and store program communication.
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and security protocols within the store.
• Support stocking and merchandising on the sales floor and backroom.
• Follow PPE, safety, and food safety guidelines; assist other departments as needed.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in varied store environments with exposure to outside weather and moderate noise levels.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Strong communication, customer service, organization, and attention to detail.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
