Part Time Convenience Store Clerk

Role Overview: This position involves independently displaying and stocking products, processing financial transactions accurately, and contributing to the store’s financial health. It ensures compliance with safety, food safety, and guest experience standards. Handle cash, checks, credit cards, food stamps, WIC, loyalty cards, gift certificates, and coupons per company policy.Assist with receiving, unloading, and stocking products across store areas.Operate the cash register, promote suggestive selling, enroll customers in loyalty programs, and maintain a clean service area.Ensure correct product identification and pricing; report errors as needed.Maintain knowledge of store programs, product locations, and assist in executing department plans.Communicate store promotions, specials, and coupons to customers, providing high-quality customer service.Follow policies on security, cash handling, product handling, and sale of age-restricted products.Keep the department and outside grounds clean, stocked, and compliant with safety and sanitation standards.Assist with stocking on the sales floor, cooler, and back room, following safety and food safety guidelines.Perform additional tasks in other departments as needed, based on customer service requirements. Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or GED preferred; retail experience is a plus. Strong communication, customer service, organizational, and basic math skills are required. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods. Must adhere to safety and food safety protocols.
