Part Time Consumer Banker I (Calumet City)

About the role

The Consumer Banker position at The First Financial Bank involves working with existing and potential clients to deepen client relationships. Key responsibilities include opening accounts, performing account maintenance, supporting client engagement through active calling and follow-up, and providing digital assistance.

Responsibilities

• Perform necessary functions to open and maintain accounts
• Run a Teller drawer as needed
• Support client engagement through active calling and follow-up
• Maintain all operational and risk management standards
• Collaborate with internal constituencies to provide appropriate expertise to clients
• Ensure timely client follow-up calls
• Provide digital assistance and support for clients using the bank's online offerings
• Stay informed and updated on bank products, processes, and procedures

Requirements

• 2-3 years client service experience in a retail environment
• 2-3 years sales and service experience with success in achieving sales and service goals
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Possesses strong sales skills

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree and/or equivalent work experience in sales preferred
• Ability to serve a wide variety of client needs according to bank policy and procedures
• Knowledge of consumer banking, deposit, lending, and transaction processing
• Understanding of compliance and regulatory procedures

Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build and maintain client relationships
• Proficiency in using bank’s online services
• Knowledge of bank products and processes
