Part Time - Computer Science - Adjunct Instructor

Job Description And Position Requirements

Penn State Abington’s Science and Engineering Division seeks an instructor in the area of Computer Science for a part-time appointment to begin Fall 2026.

Job Duties

• Teach one or more of the following college level courses in computer science: Compiler construction, formal languages with applications, object oriented programming with web-based applications in Java.
• The ideal candidate should be open to offering flexibility in course scheduling and methods of course delivery.

Requirements And Qualifications

• Applicants must have the ability to communicate effectively with an ethnically and culturally diverse student population.
• Candidates must have completed at least a Master’s degree in either computer science or data science or a related field.
• Preference will also be given to candidates with demonstrated excellence in teaching at the college level.
• Preference will also be given to candidates with teaching experience or strong subject matter expertise in Compiler Construction.
