Part time companion needed in Bonita Springs

About the role

Community Resource Network of Florida is looking for a fun, compassionate, and dependable caregiver committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence. This role supports a young male who enjoys sports and bowling, providing companionship, supervision, and transportation during community outings. Note that this position is offered on an independent contractor basis, not as an employee of the company.

Responsibilities

• Encourage and support the individual during home activities
• Assist with personal hygiene tasks
• Prepare meals and perform light cleaning
• Ensure the individual's safety and maintain a safe living environment
• Facilitate community involvement by accompanying the individual to social events, outings (e.g., grocery shopping, appointments), and activities like bowling
• Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization
• Complete daily progress notes

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Must pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening
• Proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 18 years of age or older

Pay

$16.00 hourly
