Part time companion needed in St. Augustine

About the role

Community Resource Network of Florida is looking for a fun, compassionate, and dependable caregiver committed to helping a young female with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve her highest level of independence. This role involves supporting activities of daily living (ADLs), supervision, and transportation for community outings. Note: This position is offered on an independent contractor basis, not as an employee of the company.

Pay

$16.00 hourly

Schedule

Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, and every other weekend with flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Encouraging and supporting the individual during home activities
• Assisting with personal hygiene tasks
• Meal preparation and light cleaning
• Ensuring the individual’s safety and maintaining a safe living environment
• Facilitating community involvement by accompanying the individual to social events, community outings, grocery shopping, and appointments
• Promoting communication, choice, independence, and socialization
• Completing daily progress notes

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Must be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening
• Proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training
• High School diploma or equivalent
• 18 years of age or older
