Part-Time College Essay Writing Tutor (Richmond, VA)

About the role

Study Smart Tutors is a college and career access organization dedicated to promoting educational equity, access, and success. We achieve this by offering free college access courses to students and families, collaborating with various partners to provide high-quality, culturally responsive academic support.

Responsibilities

• Teach writing and essay subjects to college-level students
• Tutor small and large groups of students
• Access information about class assignments
• Adapt to new teaching materials and strategies
• Maintain consistent communication with Study Smart Tutors staff
• Collaborate with Study Smart Tutor’s Education team for comprehensive learning strategies

Qualifications

• MUST hold a completed 4-year degree
• Teaching or tutoring experience is strongly desired
• In-person availability is required

Benefits

• Paid onboarding/training/preparation/support at $22.00 per hour

Schedule

Scheduled hours: Flexible availability Mondays through Fridays between 8:00AM to 6PM EST
