Posted July 15, 2026. The Town of Westmanland is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Code Enforcement Officer.
Responsibilities
- Enforcing the provisions of the Westmanland Land Use and Shoreland Zoning Ordinances
- Conducting on-site inspections to ensure compliance
- Updating the Board of Selectpersons on any issues regarding violations or major projects within town limits
- Working closely with appropriate State Agencies
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Maine driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Certification for Code Enforcement as required by 30-A MRSA 4451, or willingness to obtain certification
- Experience with zoning and land-use regulations
- Willingness to learn Westmanland’s specific ordinances
- Extensive knowledge of computers, email, and Microsoft Office software
- Proficiency in math
Pay
Negotiable based on experience and certifications. May include stipends for cell-phone use and in-town mileage reimbursement.
