About the role

The PT Women’s Volleyball Coach coaches Women’s Volleyball and helps students develop related skills. The role involves providing positive leadership with strong communication skills, actively participating in practices to train on sport skills, encouraging student athletes to succeed on the field and academically, comparing how discipline on the field relates to real-life decisions, and remaining positive and focused. The coach also recruits student athletes to attend LSC and works effectively with the diverse student population while inspiring them to continue their education.

Responsibilities

  • Provides positive leadership with strong communication skills
  • Participates in practices to train on sport skills
  • Encourages student athletes to succeed on the field and academically
  • Compares how discipline on the field relates to real-life decisions and why it is important to remain positive and focused
  • Recruits student athletes to attend LSC and works effectively with the diverse student population while inspiring them to continue their education
  • Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Positive leadership and communication skills to promote a positive team attitude
  • Well organized and flexible to meet time, priority, and workload demands
  • Able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Able to maintain relationships, build trust, and act as a mentor & guide to students
  • Able to be a role model and demonstrate how to be an effective coach

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Pay

Salary: Hourly Pay Rate is $21.82

Schedule

Work Schedule and Conditions: Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, and assorted sports equipment. Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position. Work is often performed in outdoor elements, including extreme heat and cold. Work hours will include evenings and weekends.
