About the role
Provides direct patient care in a fast-paced PACU setting, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.
Responsibilities
- Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
- Participates in ensuring patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, while engaging in professional development.
- Develops, implements, and documents individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, patients, and families.
- Uses critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors.
- Maintains safety sensitivity and works in a constant state of alertness to ensure safety.
Qualifications
- Education: Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Licenses: Must hold an active RN license.
- Experience: No experience required; less than 2 years preferred.
