Key Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures
- Answer multi-line phone system; schedule appointments, answer questions, and direct calls appropriately
- Maintain accurate patient and client records using veterinary management software (e.g. Avimark)
- Process payments and handle cash and credit card
- Communicate with clients about upcoming appointments, reminders, and follow-ups
- Cook with clients and their pets warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk and waiting area
- Handle emergency calls calmly and efficiently, following clinic protocols
- Aid with light administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and email correspondence
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a veterinary, medical, or customer service setting preferred
- Proficiency with computers and experience using scheduling or veterinary software (e.g., AVImark,) is a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive or emotional situations with empathy and professionalism
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Comfortable working around animals of all sizes and temperaments
Working Conditions
- Fast-paced clinic environment
- May require evening, weekend, or holiday hours depending on clinic schedule
