Key Responsibilities

  • Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures
  • Answer multi-line phone system; schedule appointments, answer questions, and direct calls appropriately
  • Maintain accurate patient and client records using veterinary management software (e.g. Avimark)
  • Process payments and handle cash and credit card
  • Communicate with clients about upcoming appointments, reminders, and follow-ups
  • Cook with clients and their pets warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk and waiting area
  • Handle emergency calls calmly and efficiently, following clinic protocols
  • Aid with light administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and email correspondence

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous experience in a veterinary, medical, or customer service setting preferred
  • Proficiency with computers and experience using scheduling or veterinary software (e.g., AVImark,) is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive or emotional situations with empathy and professionalism
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Comfortable working around animals of all sizes and temperaments

Working Conditions
